Residents help police recover stolen bike in Farnworth
Members of the public helped police recover a stolen motorbike in Farnworth today.
Residents around Dixon Green Drive in Farnworth flagged down traffic officers after they spotted a group of youths trying to jump start a motorbike.
When the group spotted officers they abandoned the bike, which police then discovered had been stolen from Bolton on September 9.
A GMP Traffic spokesman said: "Officers were flagged down by members of the public regarding a group of youths who were trying to jump start a motorbike on Dixon Green Drive, Farnworth.
"They abandoned the bike and made off. Found to be a stolen from September 9 from Bolton."
